Five ways to stay motivated through out the day!!
Our life is nothing but a
collection of days over a period of time and if we learn to make our days
perfect, eventually our lives are bound to get better. Any big thing which has
ever happened is always the result of small steps taken over a period of time.
Though I am sure, each one of
us wants to have a pleasant day always and everyday but because we are
surrounded with so much of pressure situations and negativity; it becomes a
daunting task to keep ourselves motivated throughout the day.
Like most of the people, I have
also gone through a string of days where nothing seems to work out. Whet ever I
try would go wrong and by the time half a day is over, I would be wishing to
get the day over and begin the next day afresh. Next day would definitely come
with new energy, new opportunities and new plans but what about the day which
is lost? That would never come.
Hence I decided to change the
way I approached my days and slowly over a period of time I could see the
change.
So here I would like to share
few of the things which have helped me and hope would help you as well.
Gratitude:
I believe that Gratitude is an
attitude which all of us should carry. In this ever competitive world, in order
to achieve big things in life, let us try to enjoy the good little things we
take for granted in our lives; like having food to eat for three times a day.
It may be a mundane thing for most of us but let us not forget that for a
billion people out there, it’s a luxury.
Let’s enjoy even the smallest
blessing in life and your days would fill with positivity.
Regular
exercise:
This is one thing which tops
the list of New Year resolution but few have the discipline to commit to it.
Exercise keeps the body active and mind alert which helps in focusing on task in a better way and that would ultimately result in an inner satisfaction of doing the things in best possible manner.
Even though most of us know
the benefit of exercise but still we tend to ignore it citing our own reasons.
Recently I read the
autobiography of African freedom fighter Nelson Mandela and one thing which he
followed rigorously even when he was under ground during the struggle or was in
the jail for 27 years, was that he would always take out time for exercise
during the day. And I am sure all of us know what all he achieved in his life.
Read
a Book
Reading an inspirational or
motivational book, if not few pages then few paragraphs, is another major
factor in keeping your mind in right direction.
Starting your day with
something motivational or inspirational is the best way to start the day.
Just like we have breakfast in
the morning to keep our body strong enough to face the challenges of the day
ahead, reading a good book or article is the breakfast our mind needs to sail
through the hardships of the day.
Have
your daily goal
It is said that a person
without a goal in his life is as good as dead.
I believe that all of us have some
unique talent which is waiting to be discovered. Find that something and work
on it. Have some short term and long term goals and then divide those goals
into your daily, weekly and monthly goals.
It would help us in checking
our progress and will keep us motivated to achieve what we have started for.
Meditation
Now this is something we
Indian have been doing since ages and almost all of us know what wonders this
wonderful exercise can do. The issue is whatever someone may say, the real
wonders of meditation can be experienced when we actually practice it.
It is a way of keeping our
mind connected with our inner selves and clear from all the garbage we are
surrounded it. It is a way of self-discovery as that is what everyone is
looking for but everywhere except our inner selves.
Meditation is a way to connect
to the energy which brings prosperity and happiness in our lives.
I practice all of them and I can
vouch that once someone starts doing these things with discipline, one can’t
think of one’s day without them. That’s how these activities change the way one
look at one’s days and life.
I had never tried those things
and was never disciplined to do anything but now I am on that path and the
credit goes to these simple activities I have tried to explain to you.
Stay Motivated, Stay happy,
Stay Blessed!!
