Childhood V/s Adulthood!!

Life, a four letter word but there is nothing as simple and as complicated as this word. Everyone wants to live it fully but very few are able to achieve that. It’s not that difficult to understand what it takes to be happy, the real problem is in acknowledging to oneself and working on that.

There is this famous saying I have heard so many times that childhood are the best days of our lives. Why?

Is it because we have more responsibilities afterwards? Or is it because life gets complicated? Is it due to lack of energy as we have during childhood or lack of passion to do things? Is it lack of ideas to improve the life or lack of courage to do things in a different way? Is it that we grow up or because we kill the child inside us?

It is not just like that they say child are the mirror image of God. They are. Ever thought why?

I have never seen a child telling a lie nor have I seen any child stealing anything. Nobody would have ever been deceived by a child, unless of course the child has been taught all these things by some elder person.

A child would never hesitate to show its love and affection. It would take everything at face value and reacts accordingly without manipulating the things.  It would laugh with open heart and cry out loud. A child doesn’t hold anything in its heart. It lives for the moment. The moment is gone, the memory is gone.

He doesn’t want a costly thing to play with; he wants something he can enjoy with. He knows who are his people and trust them blindly.

A child does what it likes, doesn’t matter others like it or not. He does what makes him happy.

Now, if we analyse all those things with us elders. We do everything in opposite way. We’ll tell lie, we’ll break trust of the people who love us, we do what others want us to do, we laugh as if it has a price and we cry in hidings so that nobody should see us, Most of the time we’ll take all other meanings of the things being told to us except what has actually been told and the mother of all is a memory of elephant in all those instances which are always bringing pain to us.

And after that, we crib and say, Life is too complicated. Ha! As if all the problems have surfaced on their own.

A child is keeps residing in each one of us, no matter what our age is. It is waiting to be pampered, waiting to fly. It is ready to take its ideas forward.  It is ready to take risks. You know why? Because it doesn’t know what does wrong mean. It knows only one thing and that is to do everything with full enthusiasm and faith in God.

If at all, one can match the wavelength of innocence of child residing inside and maturity of the grown up person; Life is way more exciting and worth living in each and every moment.
