Do what you believe in, not what others want you to believe by faking it!!
Ever since Mark Zuckerberg
launched Facebook from Harward’s dormitory room, life of billions of the people
around the world has changed.
Before Facebook also there
have been few social media platforms but nothing could attain the kind of
success Facebook has. It has been the single most important factor to attract
maximum number of people on social media platforms.
Social media gave the people
an opportunity to connect to the people in a much easier way and it also helped
reuniting with old friends as well. It was a platform to connect the people. It
was a platform to make people speak what they think of.
However, slowly this openness is
turning in to a nasty game for quite some time. Though freedom of expression is
a birth right in our country but now a day’s very few people seem to use it judiciously.
Likes and shares on the social
media have become so important that people simply keep on doing it without even
sometimes understanding the real agenda behind the issue or real reason behind
the issue.
People are in such a hurry
that they don’t even find it important to understand the posts and simply share
it based on the face value and face value in such cases is maximum number of
likes and shares.
It has also become a fashion
to support poor against the rich, women against the men, common man against the
politicians, and what not. People would share such posts even though in most of
the cases they wouldn’t believe what is being done. It is trendy to support
some cause so let’s support it. This will give us more likes so let’s support
it.
Nobody bothers about what
would happen to that particular person who is being trolled. What his/her
mental state would be? It’s not easy for anyone to be targeted publically without
no fault of yours but who cares.
People would give their
opinion with so much fanfare to show their sincerity as if they are the one
running the country and would go and sarcastically comment on the girl in their
office corridor where no one is seeing them.
While at one end Social media has
a number of plus points, there is no dearth of people using it for vested
purposes and to support them fully in their efforts are people like us, who
share and like their views without even knowing the true picture of the
situation.
While we may not be doing any
such thing with any wrong intention, a little bit of lethargy on our part may
put us in the wrong side
At the same time, one wrong
action by a million of people can create a big problem in any innocent’s life.
So my sincere request to everyone is that please for once understand what you
are sharing or liking as you should not feel a pinch on your heart later on.
Do what you believe in, not
what others want you to believe by faking something.
